What formula do you use for overhead press?
HAJEX: standing reach is about height × 1.33, and full-size plates stick up about 9 in above the bar. We add platform thickness. It is a rule of thumb, not a measurement we took.
What about pull-ups?
HAJEX says allow about a foot above the pull-up bar. If we do not have a published bar height, we fall back to HomeGymCave’s height × 1.18 + 9 in.
